My office is located on 4th Ave in downtown Kamloops. 175 4th Ave.
The entrance is between Fresh Slice Pizza (the corner of 4th and Victoria) and Waitlist Hair Salon. I am in the Invictus Properties Office Collective.
If your appointment is between 9am and 4:30, open the door and climb 2 sets of stairs. My office is straight ahead and on the right.
If the ouside door is locked I will either be waiting for you or will come get you shortly. You can text me at 778-765-2600 to let me know you are here.

I use a secure video conference platform. It is really straight forward and you don’t have to download any apps.
When you recieve the invitation or reminder click the link and then make sure you agree to let it use your video and microphone so I can see and hear you.
You can always find the video conference link in the reminder emails that you receive.
Clicking on the link will take you into my virtual waiting room. I will start the session as soon as I am able. Here is an online video if you want more information:

I’m casual. I want you to relax. I’m not a Doctor about to psychoanalyze and diagnose you. I’m a fellow human that has seen struggles. This is your hour to focus on whatever you think is helpful. I have a bright welcoming space. You can choose between a cozy couch or an armchair.
In the first session I follow this format:
Confidentiality: I go through our confidentiality agreement with you and we discuss any questions you have have.
I do not get my clients to fill out a bunch of forms. In the first session, I like to hear about your life directly from you. I play this part by ear and if there is something immediate that needs our attention, we go there. If possible I like to hear about all of your life - not just the struggles but also what is going well. What do you like to do? What brings you satisfaction and fulfillment?
I end this time with a couple questions: Of all the things that we’ve discussed, where would you like us to focus in the upcoming sessions. And, “If counselling does what you hope it will, how will things have changed and shifted in the next 3-6 months. What are your best hopes for our work together?
I receive payment using Square - it takes debit and credit cards. If you’d like we can book your next appointments.

I do not work weekends but I do work until 8:00pm on Wednesdays.

I am a registered provider with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and many other insurance providers
I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (CAPC.) You need to check with your insurance provider before your first appointment to see if they will reimburse you for the appointments.
I do not direct bill insurance companies.

How long are the appointments? It is helpful to book an hour and a half for your first appointment if you can.. After that sessions are typically 50-60 minutes.
